Gabriel Tchoupa
Né le 17/03/1970 à Bafoussam au (Cameroun) Nationalité camerounaise. Situation familiale marié père de 03 enfants. Gabriel Tchoupa est né dans une famille des musiciens. Papa disquaire chante la chorale à l’église. Maman trompettiste traditionnel chante à l’église et dans les danses traditionnelles. Gabriel Tchoupa de son enfance étais fasciné par tous ce qui étais musique. Après les études primaire et secondaire ayant obtenu son certificat altitude primaire en maintenance électronique et informatique, Gabriel Tchoupa exerça cette première profession pendant quatre années. En 1992 il décide de choisir sa vocation la musique. Choisi son premier instrument la guitare, et décida d aller prendre les cours de musique jazz. Quelques années après, Gabriel Tchoupa intègre son tous premier groupe de jazz le medium jazz, et participa deux fois au grand festival international de jazz sous les manguiers qui se produisaient tous les ans à Yaoundé.1996 Gabriel Ttchoupa décida daller découvrir d’autres pays africain notamment le Ghana, Togo, Bénin, Nigeria et la Cote d’Ivoire pour des nouvelles découvertes musicales.1998 Gabriel Tchoupa décide de choisir son deuxième instrument la Bass. Étant déjà beaucoup expérimenté a la guitare, peut de temps après Gabriel Tchoupa devient incontournable a tous les mouvements jazz abidjanais. Années 2000 Gabriel Tchoupa Atmis en France a paris pour une formation en ingénierie musical et apprendre la contrebasse.2001 reviens en Cote d’Ivoire installe son studio d’enregistrement, mais malheureusement juste après, en 2002 la guerre n’a plus permis qu’il réside en Côte d, Ivoire .Gabriel Tchoupa décida de retourner dans son pays le Cameroun après 6 années d’absence. Décida de refaire une nouvelle vie dans la ville de douala. . 2007 Gabriel Tchoupa se mari à madame Tchoupa sylvaine Thérèse et est aujourd’hui père de trois enfants. Ayant accumulé beaucoup d’ expérience, Gabriel Tchoupa a développe l’ ingénierie musicale et son deuxième instrument la Bass et la contrebasse a l’extrême, et est maintenant parmi les meilleurs du monde : Excellant bassiste et contrebassiste, ingénieur et arrangeur international, qui en 2013 a arrange 13 titres inédites pour la célèbre chanteuse de jazz française Loli Diam’S ,et aussi du cote de la célèbre danseuse professionnelle Nathy thai Thien la franco ivoirienne et beaucoup d’autres artistes nationaux et africains qu’ il ne peut les sites. Début 2014 Gabriel décrocha un contrat un dans un hôtel au Costa Rica mais à peine arrive fais connaissance d un grand promoteur nigérian qui luis propose l’installation d un grand studio label a Lagos au quelle il est partenaire. Début 2015 gabriel Ttchoupa est tantôt en France pour le projet Loli Diam’S et Nathy et un autres pied a lagos pour la suivie du label BLACK ROOT MUSIC auquel gabriel Tchoupa prépare la sortie de son tous premier album de 17 titres pour le début de sa carrière solo. Influence musicale : Gabriel Tchoupa dis : je ne vois pas la guitare basse seulement comme un instrument rythmique et accompagnement, mais comme un instrument complet auquel je peux jouer les harmonies les mélodies aussi bien comme si j étais sur un piano .pour ce fait j ai eu a m’ inspirer des plus parts des meilleurs: Jaco pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Wes Montgomery, Thelonious Monk, Ulf Wakenius, Michael Brecker, Ray Brown, Wayne Shorter, Rufus Reid, Ron Carter, Paco De Lucia, Oscar Peterson, Nina Simone, NHOP, McBride, Michael Brecker, Monty Alexander ,Ray Brown, Herb Ellis, miroslav vitous, Milt Jackson,Monty Alexander,Clark Terry, Miles Davis, Michel_Petrucciani, Mike Stern, McCoy Tyner, john Coltrane, Lee Ritenour, Kenny Barron, Jonas Hellborg, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, John Colianni, JEAN-LUC PONTY, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Grover Washington,charly parker, Earl Klugh,george benson, Charlie Mingus, Bobby McFerrin, BILLY COBHAM'S, Bill Evans, Béla Fleck, Barney Kessel, Art Tatum, Art Blakey's, Angelo Debarre, Alain Caron, Django Reinhardt, Bireli Lagrene,et d autres. Gabriel Tchoupa
Born in 03.17.1970 at Bafoussam (Cameroon) Cameroonian. Married and father of 03 children. Tchoupa Gabriel was born into a family of musicians. My father was a disk joker and used to sing in the choir of our church. My mother is a traditional trumpeter, choir singer and traditional dancer. Gabriel Tchoupa from his childhood was fascinated by music. After primary and secondary studies with its primary elevation certificate in electronics and computer maintenance, Gabriel Tchoupa held this first profession for four years. In 1992 he decided to follow his life vocation (music). Choose guitar as his first instrument and decided to go for jazz music lessons. Some years later, Gabriel Tchoupa integrates its first jazz band called “Jazz Medium|” and participated twice in the largest international jazz festival under the mango trees which were occurring each year at Yaoundé (Cameroon). In the earlier 1996 Gabriel Ttchoupa decided to discover others African countries. To name some: Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria and Ivory Coast for new musical discoveries. In 1998 Gabriel Tchoupa felt in love with his second loving instrument (bass guitar). Having already experienced a lot of guitars, Gabriel Tchoupa becomes unavoidable in every jazz movement in Abidjan. In 2000 Gabriel Tchoupa attended in Paris (France) a training course in music engineering and learned double bass. In 2001 back to Ivory Coast, set up his own recording studio, but unfortunately right after, in 2002, with the post elections troubles has not helped to establish and continuous working in Ivory Coast .he decided to return to his country Cameroon after 6 years of absence. . Having accumulated experienced travelling around the world, he has developed musical skills in both his loving instruments (bass guitar and double bass) and engineering and now he is among the best bass and double bass bassist around the world. He worked and produced in 2013, released 13 tracks for the famous French jazz singer Loli Diam'S, and also on the side of the famous professional dancer Nathy Thien thai Ivorian French and many other national and African artists that it can sites. Early 2014 Gabriel landed a contract in a hotel in Costa Rica but hardly happens'm aware of a large Nigerian promoter luis proposes the installation of a major label studio Lagos which he is a partner. Crée en 2018 ,le groupe a été mis sur pied de commun accord ,par Gabriel Guitariste camerounais, chanteur auteur compositeur arrangeur ingénieur de son, et Marthe Tano ,chanteuse ivoirienne auteur compositeur pour poursuivre nos desseins artistiques au regard de nos expériences professionnelles de part et d'autre. Nous avons à notre actif un album intitulé "Ne jamais se décourager " enregistré au burida et plusieurs autres sur les plates formes légales de téléchargement.Nous interprétons nos chansons et aussi des succès musicaux de différents genres( jazz standards, variétés rétro africaine,française américaine portugaise etc)
